Meet Makis, the quirky ginger survivor!

Makis is a 3-year-old male ginger cat with a heartwarming story and a personality that will melt your heart. A survivor from a difficult beginning, he is the only kitten in his litter to have triumphed over a deadly illness called panleukopenia, which tragically claimed the lives of his siblings. Since then, Makis has been cared for in a foster care, where he has grown from a delicate kitten into a handsome, playful, and gentle adult cat. Life in foster care has shaped Makis into an ideal companion cat. Having never lived as a stray, he is accustomed to the security and comforts of an indoor life and has adapted beautifully to being around people. While he may seem shy initially, this gentle and calm nature only makes him all the more endearing. Makis is the kind of cat who appreciates calm, respect, and gentle attention; he’s not one to demand constant interaction, but he loves to be around his humans, providing companionship without being in the way.

One of the most remarkable aspects of Makis’s personality is his connection to his friend Mahi. Over time, he and his female friend (both neutered) have developed a close bond that brings out the best in both of them. Makis and Mahi are loyal, comforting companions who will keep you company in the most calming way possible. They understand boundaries, and their mutual companionship brings a sense of harmony to any space they inhabit.
