Mahi
Mahi
It was a rainy winter night when volunteer Zoe Bali received an urgent call about a cat injured by a car in the village Afandou, 20km outside of the city of Rhodes. Upon reaching the scene, she discovered a bedraggled feline lying motionless and soaked to the bone. It was Mahi and her mahi (battle) for survival began on this very night. Initial assessments at the vet painted a grim picture: Mahi had suffered a broken pelvis. However, a surgery was not necessary in her case, offering a chance for recovery through careful confinement in a crate.
Tania Petrovic was the one who took on to nurse Mahi back to health. Day by day, Mahi's strength returned, and soon, signs of healing became evident. Against all odds, Mahi emerged victorious. Her pelvis mended, leaving no trace of the trauma she endured. As she got better and better, Mahi joined a community of survivor cats at Tania's place and started showing signs of her gentle and loving yet playful personality towards people and cats alike. Especially Makis, the ginger tomcat with a minor issue on his hind legs became her loyal companion. The two formed a strong and beautiful bond and we all hope, that they can be adopted together!
Mahi is a 3 year old female grey white tabby. She is healthy and neutered, very gentle and friendly with people and other cats. She can join a family with kids or any household with an easy going resident cat. Ideally she can be adopted along with Makis to guarantee endless hours of cuddling and funny moments.
