Grigoris
Grigoris
Grigoris, our resilient tuxedo kitten, began his journey under difficult circumstances. At only three months old, he was discovered by volunteer Eva near the General Hospital of Rhodes. Malnourished and exhausted, Grigoris could only scrounge for scraps near the hospital’s parking area, too weak to venture far from his safe spot. Eva couldn’t leave him there. After gathering supplies to catch him safely, she brought Grigoris to trusted vets, Anna and Evi, where his frail condition was fully assessed. Grigoris was diagnosed with a herpesvirus infection in one eye, anemia, and a limp likely due to an old injury. His struggles explained his lethargy, his slow movements, and the deep sadness in his eyes.
Despite his poor health, Grigoris had a glimmer of hope thanks to Anna and Evi’s care. Over the next two weeks, the vets provided Grigoris with treatments to address his infections, his anemia, and his malnutrition, while Sanna Lillbroända-Annala from Rhodian Stray Animal Finland covered the cost of his treatment, giving Grigoris the fresh start he desperately needed.
Once strong enough, Grigoris went to foster with Tania, where he received constant care, nutritious food, and the comfort of companionship. Slowly but surely, he perked up, revealing his playful, curious spirit. The infection in his eye healed, his anemia improved, and his energy surged. Although he still walked with a slight limp, X-rays later confirmed that his hind leg fracture had begun to heal, explaining his vast improvement. With his health restored, Grigoris became the lively, spirited kitten he was meant to be.
Now almost a year old, Grigoris has blossomed into a loving, curious young cat with a big heart. While he was once shy and reserved, he’s now an active, playful, and gentle soul who enjoys the company of both humans and other cats. Grigoris is neutered, vaccinated, and eager to find a forever home where he can share his love, trust, and companionship.
Adopting Grigoris means gaining a loyal friend who’s overcome great odds to be here. He’s gentle, good-natured, and full of life. If you’re looking for a cat who will be a loyal, loving companion, Grigoris is waiting to bring joy to your home for many years to come.
